Sweet and Sour Pork

Ingredients

  • 1 kg pork
  • salt to taste
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Olive oil to taste
  • 4 tablespoonful of mild soy sauce
  • 1 red pepper
  • ½ courgette
  • ½ cup toasted almonds
  • oregano to taste

Preparation Method

  1. Season the pork with salt.
  2. In a medium saucepan, sauté the chopped onion and finely chopped garlic cloves in a little olive oil.
  3. When the onion is tender, add the soy sauce and the rojões and fry until the meat is well-colored.
  4. Add the peppers cut into squares and the courgette cut into small cubes.
  5. Mix well, add the sweet and sour sauce, and leave to cook for about 15 minutes over low heat.
  6. Before serving, add the almonds and oregano to taste.
