Swedish Salad with Sardines
Gubbröra is a traditional appetizer originating from Sweden. It is usually made with a combination of anchovies, hard-boiled eggs, onions, sour cream, spring onions, dill and white pepper. Try this version with pickled sardines.
Ingredients

5 eggs

1 red onion

100 g radishes

3 tablespoons natural yoghurt

Chives and/or fresh coriander

Slices of candied lemon to serve
Preparation Method
- Boil the eggs in boiling water for about 10 minutes.
- Let them cool down, peel them and crumble them, reserving some of the yolk for decoration.
- Add the chopped onion and radishes, the yogurt, the sliced sardines and a handful of chopped fresh aromatic herbs.
- Mix everything together, adjust the salt and pepper and put aside in a cool place for half an hour.
- Serve the salad on top of the rye toast and garnish with the crumbled egg yolk and some coriander or chive leaves. Accompany with some candied lemon slices and a mug of beer.
