Pear Crumble and Marron Glacé
When choosing a quick and tasty recipe to offer to our friends and family, this will definitely be one of the best options!
Ingredients
-
6 ripe, juicy pears
Preparation Method
- Peel, remove the seeds, and cut the pears into medium pieces.
- Place them in a pan with a lid and cook over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring gently from time to time.
- When they are translucent they are ready but be careful as they are not intended to melt completely, some pieces should remain.
- Most ripe pears are sweet enough but if you want you can add 1 or 2 teaspoons of sugar at the beginning of cooking.
- Pear jam can be prepared in advance and kept in an airtight container in the fridge for a few days.
- Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
- Dispense 4 ceramic ovenproof bowls and place a quarter of the pear compote in each.
- Add a chopped marron glacé and a quarter of the granola. Repeat the procedure for the other 3.
- Place the bowls in the oven for about 10 minutes or until warm.
- Serve as is or top with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
