Product Description
The Azores chilli is a variety very close to a chilli from the coast of Guinea and Benin, from where it seems to have come at the time of the discoveries and the spice trade routes, the chilli was a strong “currency” of exchange. In addition to chilli (also called Piripiri), the main varieties are Corno-de-Cabra and Pimenta da Terra (or Grada).
Dona Pimentinha’s Piri-piri Sauce has a medium spiciness that doesn’t linger intensely in the mouth, so it lends a spicy flavor to the dishes without overpowering the other flavors.
Piri-Piri sauce produced in an artisanal way based on an old family recipe, made with peppers from the fields of the Azores.
Typical product from the island of S. Miguel, prepared the old-fashioned way with local chili pepper and salt.
