Product Description
Everything you need to make your own Japanese curry. Japanese curry is one of the most popular dishes in Japanese cuisine. It is generally thicker, sweeter and milder than its Indian equivalent.
A wide variety of vegetables and meats are used to make Japanese curry. The basic vegetables are onions, carrots and potatoes. For meat, pork, beef and chicken are the most popular, in descending order of popularity. Katsu-kare is the union of tonkatsu and curry sauce.
Curry was introduced to Japan in the Meiji Era (1869 – 1913), while India was under the administration of the British East India Company. For this reason it is classified as western cuisine and not as eastern cuisine.
