Delicious white kidney beans cooked with duck fat and tomato. Perfect for a more gourmet cassoulet.
Cassoulet is a rich, slow-cooked casserole containing meat (typically with pork sausages, goose, duck and sometimes mutton), pork skin (couennes) and white beans (haricots blancs), originating in southern France. It is named is due to its traditional cooking vessel, the cassole, a deep, round, earthenware pot with slanting sides.
Ingredients:
White beans 75%, sauce 25% (water, pork skin, onion, tomato concentrate, modified corn starch, duck fat 2%, salt, natural flavors, flavorings, pepper, spices).
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened keep refrigerated and consume within 48 hours.
Preparation Suggestion:
Heat the contents in a saucepan over low heat with a bit of garlic and parsley.
Usage Suggestions:
Serve with roasts, confits or duck sausages.
