Product Description
Originally from Quebec, this exceptional maple syrup comes exclusively from unique forests. It is unmixed and selected from producers practicing sustainable cultivation. This selected syrup of classification “Category A/Dark – Robust Taste” is a delicate syrup, with a deep golden color. With its notes of brown sugar and butterscotch, it is perfect to enhance your dishes, desserts, coffees and cocktails.
This natural product contains no coloring or additives. It is produced from the sap of the sugar maple (Acer saccharum).
Maple syrup is a unique product with its flavor and color which vary with the seasons. As the season progresses, the syrup’s fructose and glucose content increase, while its sucrose content decreases slightly. At the start of the season, the syrup is generally clearer and its taste slightly sweeter. It is then classified in the golden (delicate taste) or amber (rich taste) category syrups. As the season progresses, it becomes darker and its caramel aromas develop.
Recipe ideas: cereals, yogurts, homemade cookies, pancakes, pies, cakes, muffins, crepes, waffles, sorbets.
Terre Exotique selected this amber maple syrup from master maple producer “Martin Malenfrant”. Its maple grove is located in the Appalachian mountains, in the boreal forest of Gaspésie. Today, its maple grove operates 65,000 taps dedicated solely to organic maple syrup and 5,000 taps dedicated to the production of organic cherry syrup.
