Product Description
The history of the salt diamond goes back 200 million years. The Himalayan mountain range was born from the collision of the Indo-Australian and Eurasian plates, which caused the Thetys ocean between them to disappear. The slow evaporation of the waters of this ocean created these salt crystals, rich in minerals and trace elements.
Alexander the Great was the first, around 350 BC, to bring this precious Kashmir salt to Europe. In antiquity, it was reserved for deities and emperors.
Delicately extracted manually from the Khewra mines in the heart of the Himalayas, these fossil crystals of sea salt, which are actually called rock salt, mining salt or earth salt, are free of any pollution, without additives and are not refined. These crystals are therefore 100% assimilated by the body. These mines are far from being exhausted, they contain 600 million tons of salt!
It is the purest salt in the world. The flavor is a little less salty than the salt flower, its structure is slightly drier, which allows it to be used in the mill. Its neutral flavor goes well with everything. Its color can vary from pink to red, depending on its iron content. Earth salt is not iodized.
