From a variety of prickly ash that spontaneously grows in China, these berries are sun-dried and clean of the small bitter grains they contain. Must be ground at the time of use. Its taste is particularly fresh with floral notes of jasmine.
Product Description
Green Szechuan Peppercorns, sometimes known as Chinese coriander, are a traditional ingredient in Chinese Szechuan cuisine. They provide a strong citrus-like flavour with notes of juniper berry. Green Szechuan Peppercorns have a unique property that causes the mouth to tingle while consuming them. Green Sichuan pepper has a more robust and earthy flavour than its better-known red cousin. Whenever possible Sichuan pepper should be milled at the time of use.
