These 100% natural cocoa pods are considered by some to be a superfood due to their nutritional virtues (essential nutrients, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, antioxidants) that would help fight certain diseases or even delay aging.
Cocoa beans are generally used to make chocolate. After harvesting, they are extracted directly from the pods, fermented and dried in the sun. The pods are manually peeled in order to preserve all the aromas of the beans.
