Product Description
The anchovies of the Real Conservera Española come from the rich coasts of the Cantabrian Sea. These anchovies are caught during the coastal spring and, after six months of maturation in salting, they turn into a perfect canned product to taste.
The Real Conservera anchovies are characterized by their texture, taste, fat percentage, optimum cleanliness, no bones or skin remains and their uniform colour. In addition, its ideal salinity point makes it stand out from the rest of the canned anchovies. To obtain a high quality result, these preserves are handmade following a very careful cleaning process.
At Real Conservera Española they start by making a selection of the best anchovy pieces. Then, they proceed to the cleaning and gutting of the fish. Then, the anchovies begin the salting process, in which they go through a maturation process that lasts 6 months, where they gradually dehydrate. Finally, it is cleaned again to remove the skin and salt and then packed with its layer of oil to maintain its exquisite flavour. After packaging, it is kept at a temperature between 5 and 12 degrees for 12 months.
For consumption, it is recommended to serve as seasoning. They can be eaten alone or accompanied by canapés with cream cheese, tomato and olive oil. It is also common to serve in tapas Gildas, a skewer or banderilla that traditionally takes anchovies, olives and pepper. To harmonise, we recommend a white wine.

Storage:
Semi-preserved product without additives, it’s recommended to keep refrigerated between 4 and 12º C and keep it at room temperature before consumption. Once opened consume in 48h.
