Product Description
Ordinary Japanese rice, or uruchimai is the staple of the Japanese diet and consists of short translucent grains. When cooked, it has a sticky texture such that it can easily be picked up and eaten with chopsticks. Outside Japan it is sometimes labelled sushi rice, as this is one of its common uses. It is also used to produce sake.
Ingredients:
100% Short-grain rice.
Storage:
Store in a cool and dry place.
Preparation Suggestion:
Put a glass of rice and 2 cups and 1/2 of water in a medium pan. Bring to a boil. Stir and reduce heat. Let it cook for 15-20 min. Remove from heat and allow to stand for 10 min. Drain well and let cool. Dosage: 75g per person.
Usage Suggestions:
Serve steaming hot along with Japanese dishes or allow to cool to make sushi “maki”.
