Poppy Seeds are the seeds of the flower of the same name. These tiny blue-grey seeds impart a pleasant nutty flavour that can be further enhanced by roasting. Small in size but very nutritious, poppy seeds contain numerous health properties, being rich in potassium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, calcium, vitamins B1, B6 and B9 and omega 3 and 6.
They can be easily inserted in many different recipes, sweet or savoury. Add a teaspoon of poppy seeds to vegetable curries for a nutty flavour.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat.
Usage Suggestions:
Add a few spoonfuls to breakfast cereals, yoghurts, smoothies or shakes. Some people also mix them into soups, purées or healthy salads. In Indian cuisine, they are added to curries and chutneys.
