This Cape Herb & Spice Chilli Addict Ghost Chilli is the spiciest of all available range, with an intensity of 12 on a scale of 10 (No, we were not mistaken, 12 on a scale of 10. Registering 1,001,304 SHU on Scoville scale).
Also known as Bhut jolokia this Chilli descended from a lineage from Latin America having been introduced to India by the colonists who passed through it. However, being cultivated in the unique climate of the Nagaland region and crossed with various species of chilli over the centuries, what was just another kind of chilli / chilli became the world’s hottest, beating the Guinness Record in 2007 when it was registered as being 400x spicier than the classic tabasco sauce.
Ingredients:
Water, vinegar, Ghost pepper chillies (11%) (Ghost pepper chillies, vinegar, salt), onions, sugar, salt, garlic, vegetable oil (sunflower seed), thickener (xanthan gum).
Allergens:
May contain traces of celery, gluten, mustard, soy and sulphites.
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened keep refrigerated after opening and use within 4 weeks.
