Piquillo peppers from Bornibus are very popular in the cuisine of Navarre, the Basque Country and other regions of Spain, an indispensable ingredient in your entrees.
Its shape is triangular, not very large, typically 7 cm long, with hard skin and a flaming red colour.
Ingredients:
Piquillo pepper, sugar, salt, acidifying agent: citric acid.
Storage:
After open keep refrigerated and consume within 3 weeks.
Preparation Suggestion:
Usually cooked in a frying pan, with olive oil, salt and a little sugar and balsamic vinegar of Modena, until the sauce that they produce becomes thick and caramelize.
While they are cooked, they should never have contact with water, in order not to lose flavor and aroma.
Usage Suggestions:
Ideal for preparing tapas and snacks or to add a Castilian touch to your soups, salads, meats and fatty fish. Excellent with a little of olive oil, salt and finely chopped garlic.
They can also be cut or stuffed with meat, cod, sausages, especially black pudding with rice, etc.
