Product Description
The confection of the cake will have started in the 15th to the 16th centuries and will have been improved in the 17th to 18th centuries, successively using European spices, those from India. Currently the cake has as spices Nutmeg, Cloves, Fennel, Cinnamon, Almonds and Walnuts.
It must be broken by hand and can be accompanied by liqueurs or Madeira wine.
Ingredients:
Flour type 65 (WHEAT flour, enzymes, flour treatment agent (E300)); cane honey (21.43%), Raisins, sugar, yeast, palm margarine (refined palm oil and antioxidant (E304 and E321)); animal fat, cinnamon, fennel, Sodium Bicarbonate, nutmeg, clove, Madeira WINE, lemon essence, citric acid, WALNUTS and ALMONDS.
